ShugoArts is pleased to announce its collaboration with sculptor Kan Yasuda.

Based in Pietrasanta in northern Italy, Yasuda has created works for over half a century, guided by a serene spirit and an exceptional sense of form. Often regarded as a sculptor in the lineage of Constantin Brancusi and Isamu Noguchi, he has received wide recognition both in Japan and internationally. ShugoArts holds deep respect for Yasuda’s creative journey and his singular, sublime artistic vision, and looks forward to introducing his work.

Works by Yasuda will be presented at the ShugoArts booths at Art Fair Tokyo (March 13–15) and Art Basel Hong Kong (March 27–29). In addition, a solo exhibition is scheduled for this autumn at the ShugoArts Roppongi gallery.

Selected solo exhibitions: Sculpture Path (organized by the City of Milan), Milan, Italy, 1991; Marble and Bronze, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, West Bretton, U.K., 1994–1995; Touching the Time (organized by the City of Rome), Rome, Italy, 2007–2008; OLTRE LA FORMA, Pietrasanta, Italy, 2025.
