About

ShugoArts is pleased to announce the opening of ShugoArts Show, a group exhibition featuring seven artists, from Saturday, September 12 to Saturday, October 10, 2020. In the front space of the gallery, we will feature Masato Kobayashi, who is going to publish the long-awaited second volume of his autobiographical novel trilogy Paint of the Planet in late October. In addition, Kobayashi is also going to be included in the exhibition Garden of Life: Eight Contemporary Artists Venture into Nature at the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum which will be on view from October 17. The other artworks featured in the front space will be that of Yoriko Takabatake, who is expecting her first solo exhibition in two years at ShugoArts from October 24, as well as major works by Naofumi Maruyama and Anju Michele. In the back room, there will be new artworks by Aki Kondo, along with works by Leiko Ikemura and Ritsue Mishima. We are excited to present a fun space where the viewers can see a variety of new and old artworks all at once, so please feel free to stop by.
